Working as a freelance photographer requires many investments into camera and editing gear. Behind your DSLR, lenses and lights, your computer might be the most important tool in your arsenal. Many professionals use a desktop machine such as a Mac Pro or a custom PC, but it’s nice to have a laptop handy on-site.
If you don’t plan on using this notebook as your main workstation, you can certainly get away with something that isn’t up-to-date for 2022 and beyond. This refurbished 2015 MacBook Air is on sale for $250 during our Refurbished Event, which runs from September 17th to the 30th.
This early 2015 MacBook Air is equipped with Intel’s Broadwell-generation i5 and 4GB of memory. It may not be much, but it should be enough to open RAW files and respond to client emails. Your content is displayed on the 13.3-inch display in 1,440 x 900 resolution, and the onboard Intel HD Graphics will manage graphically demanding workloads you might need to handle. Additionally, the laptop ships with 128GB of storage to house your apps, digital contracts or photos you may need to edit on the fly.
This laptop features WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, allowing you to access the web and sync Bluetooth gadgets like AirPods and a Magic Mouse. As for the exterior, this refurbished MacBook Air was given a “B” rating, so while you might find scratches and dents here and there, the device will operate as intended.
You don’t have to worry about this notebook losing support anytime soon. This seventh-generation MacBook Air is compatible with macOS Monterey, which is the current iteration of Apple’s computer operating systems until Ventura arrives in its final form in October. That means you can expect at least a couple more years of updates and security fixes.
This notebook may have retailed for $1,199 when it was first released, but we’ve come a long way since 2015. Now, you can purchase a refurbished 13.3-inch Apple MacBook Air for just $250. You don’t need a coupon to get it at this price, but our Refurbished Event ends September 30th.
